David Rodwin just finished a stint as Writers' Assistant on TNT's "HawthoRNe". Before that he worked on CBS' "Swingtown". He's written, composed, directed and performed in ten operas/musicals ranging from one-man shows to large-cast multimedia extravaganzas.
They've been workshopped and produced from The Public Theatre to The O'Neill Playwright's Conference and from Seattle to Amsterdam. The LA Times called his work "Dazzling" and the SF Bay Guardian "Inspiring". After 9/11, he founded the non-profit Raw Impressions, Inc. and its film division RIPFest to inspire artists and create community in NYC after the attacks. Through those companies he commissioned and produced 172 ten-minute stage musicals and 60 short movie musicals from 2001-2006 using Tony, Emmy and Oscar award-winning artists.
