 Rona started as a journalist, focusing on world wide social related stories (drug trafficking in South America through the eyes of a local trafficker, the story of the indigenous movements in Bolivia). Rona Segal has begun writing for TV in 2005, in the children educational drama series "Hamaarechet".In 2007, Segal was involved in the development of a TV drama series called "Screenz", focusing on internet relationships. She wrote one of the story lines, about two young musicians who are involved in domestic drugs making. The series was sold to different international TV networks. Nowadays Segal is working on her first feature film with the director Jonathan Gurfinkel, telling the story of a girl who's getting sexually abused in high school. Segal is also involved in the development of 2 TV dramas: one is about the behind-the-scenes of the local Mediterranean music industry, for channel 2. The other is an independent project with director Ram Nehari about teen agers life. Rona Segal is also directing video clips for various musicians and pro bono commercials, all aired on broadcast channels.
