Eyal Halfon, writer/director
Yaron Seelig, screenwriter
Avi Cohen, creative producer/director
Eyal: The most important thing in pitching is sincerity, even more than passion. Your attitude, what you believe in when you make a film are even more important than being ready for your pitch, because you will always get chances to pitch again, but you can't succeed if you are not sincere about what you are doing. You have to enjoy it and leave room for questions, because you can't have all the answers before you finish shooting anyway. Listen to what people are asking you and don't make a stand-up show out of it. It's not an event and it's not intimate, but try to make it intimate for yourself.
Yaron: I prefer preparation because pitching scares me, although the people who listen to me are not my enemy. They are in my favour and allies. You can use schticks, if you like, But be prepared so you could learn more about your project, and eventually that would help you. This is an instrument for you to develop when you fully understand your work, and improve your creativity during your work. That,s when you understand exactly what you are doing.
Avi: Pitching is like dating: you always hope you will fall in love. Be sincere, but it is always good to flatter your listeners.
