Baila Asner Anne-Marie
Anne-Marie Baila Asner was born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in San Diego, California.

 

She is the Founder of Matzah Ball Books publishing company, and author and illustrator of a series of Yiddish-inspired picture books (Titles: Shmutzy Girl, Noshy Boy, Shluffy Girl, Kvetchy Boy, and Klutzy Boy.) Ms. Asner has toured North America reading and entertaining thousands of kids.
She has also written for LA Weekly, Jewish Observer, and the Anti-Defamation League, and on several web sites both in the USA and abroad.

 

She is currently working on a short film, Chasing the Nap, about the comical antics of a chronically sleep-deprived mom.

Ms. Asner holds a master's degree in Psychology from Brandeis University. She resides in Los Angeles.
