 Jasmine Kainy was born in San Francisco in 1968, but grew up mostly in Tel Aviv.
Worked as a radio and print journalist then moved to California and studied Radio and Television at San Francisco State University. After graduating with honors and working for local production companies she moved back to Israel where she found her place as a freelance director, writer and content-editor for Israeli TV. She has directed both documentaries (shorts, singles and series) and television drama-series. Her documentary film "Magnificent Failure" (2008) was screened in festivals in Europe and South Africa. Jasmine is currently developing her first dramatic feature film.
