Nickoll David

David Nickoll is a Writer/Producer/Director who most recently served as the Executive Producer of "The Aisha Tyler Show," a talk show pilot for ABC.

 

For the past few years, David has been a Creative Consultant to The Harlem Globetrotters; he writes comedy for the team's touring show and wrote their ESPN2 television special.

From 2005-2007, David was the Head Writer for CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" Prior to Ferguson, David was a Writer and Segment Producer/Director for "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" throughout its run.
David was a Writer/Producer on Comedy Central's "Chocolate News" starring David Alan Grier. He was the Executive Producer of "Daytime in No Time," a daily web series on Yahoo! and the Co-Creator of "Yahoo! Movie Traveler." He has developed shows for Comedy Central, Bravo, VH-1 and CBS.
David wrote a series of PSA's featuring celebrities for the U.S. Campaign for Burma. He also writes speeches on assignment for Gotham Ghostwriters.
David was selected for the Sundance Institute's Mark Silverman Fellowship for New Producers, which afforded him the opportunity to work on BOOGIE NIGHTS.


David produced the independent feature ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES starring Amanda Peet. The film played dozens of film festivals, was released on DVD domestically and was distributed internationally.


David began his career as a Production Assistant at "Saturday Night Live" and became a Line Producer on the show's commercial parodies and remotes.


David is a member of AFTRA, DGA, and WGA, and a Founding Board Member of the Williamstown Film Festival. He also serves on the Alumni Board of Harvard-Westlake School, the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Leadership Academy.


David was a 2009 Geller Leadership Fellow with the Jewish Federation. He is a graduate of Williams College. He lives in Los Angeles with his lovely wife and three happy children.
