Schnipper Lauren
Lauren Schnipper grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and has a degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University

Upon graduating, she moved to San Francisco to study acting at the American Conservatory Theatre. From there she was cast in her first feature, "Mind the Gap" (dir. Eric Schaeffer.)

After acting for a couple of years in New York City she was recruited to start a production company, Harbor Entertainment, where she helped mount Broadway productions including "Fiddler on the Roof" starring Alfred Molina, "night, Mother" starring Brenda Blethyn and Edie Falco and "All Shook Up." Lauren ran the production office for the off-Broadway show "Five

Course Love" at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Lauren moved to Los Angeles in October of 2006 to study, perform and produce comedy.


She has produced many sketch shows for comedy festivals and videos all of which have been featured on the front page of Funny or Die. She has studied and performed at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, The Groundlings and The Comedy Store among
others.

 

Lauren is a producer for The Moth, a national storytelling competition. She is also screenwriter and is currently enrolled in Writer's Bootcamp, a two-year screenwriting course.

 

This past year she produced a web series, "DateaHuman.com," for Babelgum.com (dir. by Joy Gohring.) She is currently in pre-production on a short for AFI's Directing for Women's Workshop called "Hold for Laughs."

 

Lauren also loves being Jewish and has a blog to prove it called "We love being Jewish,it's our favorite thing."
