Michal Vinik graduated from the Film and Television department at the Tel-Aviv University, winning two scholarships for excellence.
During her studies she wrote and directed the short "BAIT", which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. She is currently in the process of editing "SRAK", a short drama supported by the Rabinowitz Film Fund, and developing "The Barash Family," a feature for the Israeli Film Fund (2nd Prize at The Miki Albin contest for Best Script).
She is also the co-writer of the pre-production feature "Damaged Goods." Michal is teaching scriptwriting at the Sam Spiegel Film School and Beit Berl Academic College.
