As a director, Jerry has directed over 70 episodes of television for all the major networks. His experience encompasses all genres of production, including single camera Drama/Comedy, as well as multi camera situation comedy.
Jerry’s early directing work on the hit CW series EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, earned him the admiration of creators Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi, who asked Jerry to join the show as a Producer/Director. To date he has directed over 20 episodes, and has overseen the development of all scripts during his 88 episode tenure.
Jerry recently completed directing multiple episodes of the new JONAS BROTHERS TV series for the Disney Channel, and the new Starz series CRASH starring Dennis Hopper.
Some of Jerry’s other directing credits include 5 episodes of the FX Network’s hit series IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILLADELPHIA, starring Danny DeVito.
He has directed 15 episodes of the Emmy, and Golden Globe winning USA series MONK, starring Tony Shalloub.

Jerry’s directorial film debut was the short film BIG AL based on the play, which he directed at The Fountainhead Theatre in Los Angeles. Showtime Networks Inc. produced the film with Jerry directing and Academy Award nominee Stephen H. Burum as Director of Photography. BIG AL premiered at The Montreal Film Festival winning Best Short Film. It then went on to win the first place prizes at The New York Expo of Short Films, The Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, The Charleston International Film Festival, and The New Orleans Film Festival. BIG AL made its television debut on The Showtime cable network and was nominated for three Cable Ace awards including “Best Dramatic Theatrical Special” and winning the Best Actor award.
As a result of BIG AL’s success, Jerry created ACT ONE, a production entity sponsored by Showtime Networks Inc, Paramount Television, and Viacom, where he served as Founding Producer and Artistic Director producing over thirty one act plays at The Met Theatre in Los Angeles. There he directed “STICKS AND STONES” starring Jonathan Silverman for which he received Dramalogue and Los Angeles Theatre honors including Best Play and Best Director. ACT ONE collaborated with an inspiring group of artists including Luke Wilson, Mark Ruffalo, Kenny Lonergran, Jane Anderson, William H. Macy, Griffin Dunne, Arliss Howard, Craig Lucas, Vincent Canby, Hal Linden, John Randolph, Larry Moss, Adam Goldberg, Bobby Pastorelli, Harry Shearer, and many more.
At The Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles Jerry directed DOVE by Lisa Reardon, and DOES THIS WOMAN HAVE A NAME by Teresa Rebeck.

Jerry worked along side founding Artistic Director Gene Feist at the Tony award winning Roundabout Theatre in New York. Experiencing all aspects of over twenty eight productions including LOOK BACK IN ANGER with Malcolm McDowell, INADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE with Nicol Williamson, and HEDDA GABLER with Susanna York. While in New York, Jerry worked closely with theatre director Jim Simpson helping to found the KOZO THEATRE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION where they produced plays written by Keith Reddin, and Berthold Brecht.
As an actor his films include WAG THE DOG for director Barry Levinson, which stars Robert Deniro, and Dustin Hoffman. THE GHOSTS OF MISSISSIPPI for director Rob Reiner, in which he plays the role of “Jerry Mitchell”, the journalist responsible for breaking the story on jury tampering in the Medgar Evers trial. Jerry played a desperate studio assistant in SWIMMING WITH SHARKS, opposite Kevin Spacey and Frank Whaley. In the Oliver Stone Academy Award nominated BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, Jerry starred opposite Tom Cruise as “Steve Boyer” anti-war activist Ron Kovic’s best friend. He also starred in such feature films as Ivan Reitman’s romantic comedy CASUAL SEX? with Leah Thompson; OUT OF BOUNDS; K-9 with Jim Belushi; IRON EAGLE directed by Sidney Furie.
The children’s adventure film LANCELOT THE GUARDIAN OF TIME;
FRANKIE AND JOHNNY GET MARRIED; MOOSE MATING; and the short film THE SHIFT. Jerry is also known for his performance in the hit comedy TEEN WOLF in which he starred as Michael J. Fox’s friend “Stiles”.
Among Jerry’s television credits he spent 5 years playing the roll of “Joe” in the NBC Emmy winning series WILL AND GRACE. He created the roll of “Robert Bingham” for Witt/Thomas Productions in the WB series MUSCLE. Jerry also co-starred with Heather Locklear in the ABC series GOING PLACES, a half hour comedy created by Miller/Boyette. For producer Gary Goldberg, Jerry starred opposite Ed Asner in NBC’s one hour drama THE BRONX ZOO, and played the role of Cousin Elliot on the CBS series CHARLES IN CHARGE. Fans of NBC’s SEINFELD will remember Jerry as Elaine’s boyfriend, “The Pen Guy.” Other television credits include guest appearances on MONK, CHICAGO HOPE, PROVIDENCE, BOY MEETS WORLD, CAROLINE IN THE CITY, FIRED UP, BUDDY FARO, CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL, and more.
