Arnon Goldfinger

Director/Producer/Scriptwriter
Winner of two Israeli Academy Awards, Arnon Goldfinger has been working as a director, scriptwriter and producer since 1992.
A graduate of Tel Aviv University's Film School with special merit, he was selected to be one of twelve European graduate students to participate in the 2nd European Summer Film School in Belgrade.
In 1999, after directing several short films and dramas, and dozens of reportages for Israeli TV, he directed his first documentary feature, THE KOMEDIANT. Recipient of numerous prizes and much critical acclaim, THE KOMEDIANT had a successful theatrical run in Israel. In 2002, the film was released in America, becoming the first Israeli documentary to have a theatrical run in the USA. Following the film's success, Goldfinger was chosen as the "Men of the Year" in cinema, by the Israeli press.
Goldfinger worked for five years on his last Documentary. "THE FLAT", an Israeli-German co production, for which he received the Israeli Academy Award and the Bavarian film award for best documentary. Additional prizes include The Jerusalem International Film Festival award for best director of a documentary, and The Israeli Documentary Filmmakers' award. "THE FLAT" has been playing for six month at Israelis cinemas and will be commercially released in Germany in May 2012.
Goldfinger teaches directing and scriptwriting at Tel Aviv University's Film School and the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem, and has served as a reading lector for major Israeli film foundations.
